Throughout the month of May, SELCO (Southeastern Libraries Cooperating) will be hosting a series of author talks over Zoom as part of the 2021 Minnesota Author Tour. The program is possible due to support from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the Minnesota Library Legacy Program.
The author tour continues on Tuesday, May 11 at 6:30pm with a talk with David Housewright. David Housewright is an award winning Minnesotan author of crime fiction and mystery fiction.
A past president of the Private Eye Writers of America, Housewright is best known for his Rushmore McKenzie and Holland Taylor detective novels as well as other tales of murder and mayhem in the Midwest. He earned the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America for “Penance” (1996) as well as three Minnesota Book Awards for “Practice to Deceive” (1998), “Jelly’s Gold” (2010) and “Curse of the Jade Lily” (2013).
David Housewright’s “From the Grave: A McKenzie Novel” is a finalist for the 2021 Minnesota Book Awards.
