Birdwatching 101 at the Library

Birdwatching 101: Tips, ID Tricks, and More!
Monday, May 13, 10:30 AM
St. Charles Public Library

On Monday, May 13 at 10:30AM Amy Simso Dean, founder of the Kestrels Birding Group, will visit the St. Charles Public Library to provide an introduction on birding.

Discover how easy it is to get started or to get better at birdwatching.  Learn how to identify local birds, set up a bird feeding station, select birdwatching gear, and connect with the birding community.  You will also learn about easy community science projects you can do that help support bird conservation – some as easy as drinking coffee or watching birds out of your window.

Dean’s visit to the St. Charles Public Library is part of the weekly Coffee & Conversation program.  Looking for something to do on a Monday morning?  The library is offering free coffee and hot chocolate every Monday, 10:30am – 11:30am.  Drop by the library for a hot beverage and a chat with your fellow community members.

This program was made possible due to a Library Legacy Grant.  It is free and open to the public.
