Help Our Garden Grow at the Community Gardens

Help Our Garden Grow!
Hands-on Gardening with Master Gardener Maria Baer
Friday, August 21, 3-4pm
St. Charles Community Gardens

The St. Charles Public Library is offering an opportunity for hands-on learning by maintaining a garden plot at the St. Charles Community Gardens.  In addition to planting and caring for the garden, Winona County Master Gardener Maria Baer will be offering monthly demonstrations.

The next demonstration is scheduled for Friday, August 21, between 3 to 4pm.  Families are encouraged to drop by anytime to ask questions, learn a few gardening tips, and even get their hands dirty by helping the library’s garden grow.

The St. Charles Community Gardens are located on the southernmost tip of Wabasha Avenue (behind the city water reservoir).  Limited parking is available beside the garden plots.  Carpool if you can!

This program complements the brand new seed library at the St. Charles Public Library.  The St. Charles Seed Library was funded in part by Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, and has been made possible due to the support of Sargent’s on 2nd, Seed Savers, and the Winona County Master Gardeners.  This program is free and open to the public.
